JAMES BRIGGS EARNS GREEN CREDENTIALS 14th March 2016

JAMES BRIGGS EARNS GREEN CREDENTIALS

James Briggs has been recognised for its green credentials with a certificate of Green Business Membership.

The certificate recognises the company’s close work with registered environmental regeneration charity Groundwork MSSTT. The charity works to inspire and improve local communities, businesses and the wellbeing of people.

Groundwork has been heavily involved in James Briggs’ efforts to develop as sustainable workplace as possible, supporting the business with energy audits, electricity usage and energy savings.

James Briggs CEO Tim Pugh said: “We’ve forged a strong and productive relationship with Groundwork, which has provided focus for significant improvements in the sustainability of our workplace. As a manufacturing business it is extremely important that we take these steps to minimise the impact of our processes, and we will continue to work together with local partners to help improve the quality of the environment we live and work in.”

James Briggs recently appointed Groundwork as its Independent Lead Assessor under the Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS), a mandatory energy assessment scheme for organisations in the UK.
