BRANDED BUSINESS AT THE DOUBLE IN Q2

 

James Briggs Ltd has announced 104 per cent growth in its branded business as part of its half-year figures for 2015/16.

The Oldham-based manufacturer reported similar growth at the end of Q1, with its branded revenue continuing to grow at more than double 2014/15 performance. The figures have been driven by developments in its portfolio and distribution network over the past six months, including the acquisition of cleaning chemicals business Premiere Products and new distribution deals in the UK and Ireland with the likes of Bunzl, Tetrosyl and P.R. Reilly.

As a result, the branded aspect of the business has increased to 23 per cent of total revenue. With further distribution deals signed – both in the UK and internationally – since the turn of the year, further growth is predicted in the third and final quarters.

Commenting on the figures, James Briggs CEO Tim Pugh said: “2015/16 is proving another sustained year of growth for James Briggs as we extend the reach of our branded portfolio of products. The past 12 months have seen the implementation of a strategy to significantly extend our reach, and we’re now seeing the fruits of that in our financial performance.

“It’s extremely encouraging that the branded business is now consistently contributing more than 20 per cent to group revenue and, with its international growth accelerating, we can look forward to a really positive second half of the year.”
